Actually, A Chain of Short Stories of Their Distance is a two-dimensional animation rather than a movie with live-action. The whole story, with a witness to the growth of the boy called Takaki and the girl named Akari, loving each other from the age they were young, is separated to be three passages, sharing with the links said love and change. At the first part, which is titled as Sakura Memories, the producer, Shinkai Makoto, applied lots of discontinuous scenes changing according to the moves of these two protagonists, and expressed the emotions under lines frame to frame. Maybe just due to the naive thoughts existing in their minds, both Takaki and Akari believes in the further which is accompany with each other without doubt. But time changes everything. "Time, with malice, passed away quickly, just beside me." Said Takaki, in the train leading to the place where Akari lives.
Turn Left, Turn Right is a light comedy of two urban residents, who have no name but is recognized as 784533 and 763092 respectively and is used to turn left while the other one turns right when they are rushing to work. I am sure lots of people have been fully understood every fascinating scenarios of this movie, which includes fate, encounter, lost, sadness, departure and reunited. For me, the importance of this movie lies on the point that shows me a dream of being a literary translator, which still stimulates me to insist on.
Far and away, where the dream is, there is the way. Reality always keeps distance from the dream, sometimes which just like the distance between the sky and the earth. However, as long as one has ambition, determination, persistence, he will reach the dream no matter how far it is.
